WHAT ARE THE CREATIONS OF GOD?

INTRODUCTION

Creations of God

The bible did not tell us how long God took to create the universe,so the question is:-

       HOW LONG DID IT TAKE GOD?

There are two basic views about the days of creation.

1,   Each day represents a literal 24 hours of creation

2,   Everyday represents indefinite period e.g a million years

The real question is ,how long did it take God to create everything in an orderly fashion. God created the universe just the way he wanted it.

And all things he created are answerable to him willingly and unwillingly.

                   DISCUSSION

A,   HOW CAN YOU DESCRIBE THE CREATIVE WORK OF GOD?

1,   Isaiah 42 :5 ::- He stretched and spread the heaven and earth.

He gives breath to his people

In Genesis when created man from the dust of the ground, He breathe into him the breath of life and man became a loving being.

Psalms 24 : 2 says "For he founded it (earth) upon the seas and established it upon the waters.

2,  Psalms 96:11-12 ::-They continually give praise ,worship and thanks to God.

PS 96:5 says "All the Gods are idols but the lord made the heavens and the earth.(thats praise)

What keeps us from God's ultimate presence are ::-

     Ungrateful heart

     Not worshipping

     Hardening our hearts

     Testing God because of our                                  Stubborness.

We are warned not to harden our hearts, but reject the glamour of sin and anything that will lead us away from our God.

B,   DISCUSS HOW THE CREATURES PRAISE GOD

1,  psalms 148:1-14 ::- All creatures praise God.

All creatures like a great choir made of many parts  offer together songs of praise to God.

Here we saw the Angels praise him,all heavenly host praise him also, the moo. ,stars ,sun ,waters ,skies were all worshipping God.

This is the picture of how we as believers should praise God individually,but a part of a great choir.

C,   WHAT DO YOU THINK DISTINGUISHED BETWEEN OTHER CREATURES AND MAN?

1,  Genesis 5:26 ::-Other creatures don't have lineage and descendant

Humans also lived longer than other animals.g in the passage we read ,we saw Methuselah lived 969 years ,the father of Lamech,so one of the distinction is that man lived longer than most creatures.

2,   Genesis 2:7::-man is a living soul because of the breath of life ,many other animals don't have the privilege of having the breath of God poured into them like man.

Our lives and worth therefore comes from God.

3,  Genesis 5:1 ::-God made man in his own likeness.

Humans were created in the likeness has to do with character ,that means humans were created with some of the natures of God.And this differentiates man from other creatures

               CONCLUSION

All the creatures of the earth are created by God.

Both the living and the non living things.

Among all the creatures , Man is the most important because ,he is the only one that can communicate verbally with God this helps  us to praise and Glorify our maker.
