WHAT IS SPIRITUAL WARFARE ,CAN WE BEABLE TO FIGHT IT ALONE?

SPIRITUAL WARFARE

Holy spirit

TEXT EPHESIANS 6 :12

Spiritual ::- is anything that has to do with God,the human spirit,or other supernatural spirit.

Warfare::-  it has to do with a fight,a battle,contention that goes in the world.

Spiritual warfare ::-  has to do with the fight that goes on in the spiritual realm between -light and darkness,good and evil and angel elect and fallen angels .

In the  Christian life we battle against rulers (spirit that wants to rule over a domain)and authorities (those that want to have right over a realm).

Those rulers and authorities are the powerful evil forces of fallen angels,demons,and are controlled by Satan.

We know Satan is a vicious fighter , 

(1peter 5:8) says ::-

    Be alert and sober mind,

     Like a roaring lion,

     Looking for who to devour,

Lions attacks Isolated,weak,not alert and young animals more .

Peter warns us watch out for these signs in our Christian life especially and pains suffering,sickness and troubles.

These are the periods that the enemy tries to attack because we are vulnerable.

    Seek assistance of other Christian .

    Fixed our eyes on Jesus and Jesus alone.

    Try to resist the enemy and he will flee                  from(James 4:7).

EPHESIANS 6:12

"For our fight (spiritual warfare) is not against " flesh and blood " (people in the physical realm)

 

WHO ARE NOT THE FLESH AND BLOOD?

They are the spirits ,demons ,disobedient angels,powers rulers ,authorities,that Satan has control over. They are not what we create in our mind, they are real,we are facing a powerful army whose goal is to defeat Christ's church.

We are the church of God .

Because the moment we believe in Christ , these spirits are in conflict with us.

    They try to thwart ,to turn ,to discourage      us      from the faith

            Discouragement are in different forms :--

          . They bring sicknesses to bodies- to                         question the healing g power of                               God.

          .They thwart our progress - to see                            that carnal people are Making it. 

            . There's no need for holiness,                                    righteousness ,Godliness.

            .They attack us physical ,to make                              us feel God cannot protect us.

We need supernatural powers to defeat Satan and God has Given us that through the holy spirit. 

   To be with us and be our armour.

    If we feel discourage let's remember the word     of Jesus to peter in Matthew 16:18 .

"On this rock, I will build my. Church and the gate of hades will not overcome it.

The rock on which Jesus will build his church had been identified as ::-

       1, Jesus himself -the work of                          salvation  I.e dying on the cross for             us.

       2, Peter - the first great leader in the             church of Jerusalem.

       3, the confession of faith that peter              gave about Jesus that you are the                messiah,the son of a living God.

                      CONCLUSION

Ephesians 6:11 finally ,be strong in the lord and in his mighty power.

  To withstand their attack

1, we must depend on Gods strength through prayer.

2 Use every pieces of Gods armour.

3,  We must fight the powers attacking the church with the power coming from the holy spirit.
