WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT, HOW IS HE RELEVANT TO OUR WORLD TODAY?

WHO IS THE HOLY SPIRIT

                              

   Luke 4:1

" Then Jesus full of the holy spirit,returns from the Jordan's river,was led by the holy spirit into the wilderness."

       Like the father and the son,the holy spirit is a full and distinct person of the Godhead. As a divine person the holy spirit is ::-

       1, Eternal

       2, Omni - present

       3, Perfectly wise

       4,Perfectly good

       5,Perfectly just

As the father is the creator

The son is the Saviour and redeemer

The holy spirit is the sanctifier and frees us to live good live.

          2 CORINTHIANS 3:17

For the lord is spirit and where the spirit is there's  freedom.

The holy spirit ::- pleads for us

                             Comforts us

                             Encourages us

                            Teaches us

                            And leads us into all truth.

WHAT IS THE MINISTRY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?

1,   They holy spirit lives in Jesus

2.    Empowers him for his ministry

3.    He sent the Holy spirit to dwell in us after his departure.

The holy spirit is now in the church and living in individuals who receive Christ as their personal lord and Saviour.

WHAT IS THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN SALVATION?

          John 3:5

" Jesus replied " I assured you, No one can enter the the kingdom of God without being born of water and of the spirit."

The holy spirit has numerous task like::- 

1,  He inspires prophets and Apostles  to write Gods word.

2,   leading us to spiritual rebirth

3,   Bringing Christ presence to us

4,   keeping us in touch with God

5,   Giving us power to witness

WHAT IS THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT?

                       Act 1: 5

"John baptized with water, but in just a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit .”

The Holy Spirit's baptism is a powerful experience that prepares Spirit-filled believers for ministry and witness.

The idea that all of the spiritual gifts mentioned in the New Testament should be sought out and used to build the church extends from this.

THE FRUITS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
