Sexual standard

Text :- 1Corinthia's 6:16-19

The bible says::-

Flee from sexual immorality,why? Because ,all other sins committed are outside the body,but whoever sins sexually sins against his body.

Verse 19 says Do you not know that your body is the temple of the holy spirit/God?

1, It means the holy spirit dwells in our bodies and among us.

2,   God created sex to be beautiful and essential in marriage ,o my in marriage.

There are consequences when we take part in it outside the marriage.

   It hurts God(Sinning)husband and wife       are certified.

   It hurts others  e.g heartbreak

   It hurts ourselves e.g abortion

WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF SEXUAL IMMORALITY

Romans 1:27-28. ,1Tim 1:8 - 11

Gay (lesbianism and homosexuality)

Fornication

Adultery

Bestiality -sex with animal

Masturbation

Rape

Prostitution

Transsexuals 

Incest

These are few among the many sexual immorality that the bible is talking of and is encouraging is to flee from them.

   

              EXAMPLES IN THE BIBLE

Samson and Delilah - judges 16 - fornication

Amnon and Tamar - incest

Joseph and portiphars wife - fornication and adultery

Lot and his daughters - incest

David and Bethseba - adultery

WHAT ARE THE CAUSES OF SEXUAL 

IMMORALITY

What do you think are the causes of sins or sexual immorality?

Many will say its Satan that makes them sin.

But sin comes from our sexual desires that is:-

Every sin we commi tis planned and executed by us.

The three sources are  ::-

1,  Lust of the eyes ::- Beautiful girls ,fine shapes ,pornography and nude pictures etc.

2,   lust of the flesh::- pleasures ,leisures ,enjoyments gotten from sin eg sex ,caressing ,fondling of breast.

3,   pride of life ::- Boastfulness ,Ego and achievement

All these are the ways we fall into sexual immorality. So the cause are as follow::-

Sercular Christianity, that is when we conform to the standard of world.

Pornography ,that is watching blue films ,sexual magazine,sexual stories that are sensual, Nude pictures.

Being in a room with an opposite sex

When you dance and caress each other on a dance floor,what do you expect when you stimulate each other 

Not genuinely born again.

                CONSEQUENCES

1,  Sexually transmitted disease

2,  Unwanted prgnancies

3,  Lost of destinies and premature death

4,  Unanswered prayers

5,  Death - spiritually and physically

                CONCLUSION

How can I Glorified God with my body?

1,   By praising him with our lips PS 63:3

2,   when we remain sexually pure

3,   when we produce spiritual fruits Any person that wants his life straight, must flee sexual immorality.
