WHAT WILL BE OUR PRE- OCCUPATION WHEN WE GET TO HEAVEN?

   PRE - OCCUPATION IN HEAVEN

Pre occupation in heaven

    

 Revelation 3 :21 , Revelation 22:1-5

It means our first work in heaven or our first activity in heaven,what will we be doing ,the moment we get to heaven?

Pre - occupation::- means to be engrossed ,or occupied with , you are absorbed with an activity.

Heaven-- is a place right?( that means there's a location for it,it is somewhere)

Who knows the position or location of heaven?

Heaven is a place of::-

  . peace -there will be enough peace              there,no war,destruction ,chaos or jaga      jaga of this world  there.

   .love -- john 3:16 we will be living in            love  because God is love.

   .Community of believers and                          worship

  .It is God central dwelling place

Revelation 4:6-8 ,God is surrounded by heavenly court and the beings ( four living creatures ,24 elders ,7 spirit before Gods throne ,arch angels ,Seraphim's and cherubims )

In Heaven there's No ::- No pains and                                                  suffering -Rev 7:16

                                        Disease-STDs,                                               genetic disease ,                                             Non communicable                                        diseases.

                                      Sin and death - by                                          his death and                                                 resurrection Christ                                        conquered them all.

Revelation 20 :14 says death and hades will be thrown in the lake of fire I.e the realm of the death will be destroyed.

Its a place of everlasting life and continual worship of God, it means eternal life it is living forever as a resurrected being.john 3 :16

                        DISCUSSION

(A).  WHAT WILL WE BE DOING IN HEAVEN?

1,   Revelation 7:9-10 ::- we will be standing before Gods throne, both race ,nation ,tribe and language(of people that are faithful to God)

Wearing white robes and palm frond in hands

Crying in loud voice ,that is his praise ,salvation belongs to God who sits on the throne, we are always guaranteed a place in his presence as believers.

Psalms 62:2 says ,He is my rock my salvation

2,   Revelation 7 :15-16 ::- We will be serving God day and night

Worship will be our ore- occupation day and night, Elements of worship are - praise ,prayer and study of the word.

 

WILL THERE BE DAY AND NIGHT IN HEAVEN?

No (Revelation 21 : 25 , Revelation 22 :5)  

God will be the source of light in heaven( No candles ,bulbs and torches)

Why is the bible saying ,we will worship him day and night?

Its jus to make us know that worship will be continuous.

God is not controlled by time ,we are the ones controlled by time, we will worship God continually thats what the bible is saying.

3,   Revelation 22:3 ::-No longer will there be any curse

Why Will there be no curse? Cause ,curse had been bunged on a tree after his death, Galatians 3 :13 says He took upon himself the cause for our wrongdoing., so he liberated all believers from the curse that we were under.

Believers that will make heaven ,will be free from any curse at all. Satan will not be found in heaven so we will be free from all his negative effects,hallelujah.Amen

4,   Revelation 3 :21 ::- We will sit with God on his throne(just as Jesus was victorious and he sat with the father on his throne)

Christ met with temptations and overcame them all,eh was and is still more than conqueror

Those who overcome will sit with God :

1,   On his throne of judge me tat the end of the world.

2,   on his throne of glory for eternity.

(B)   WILL WE RECOGNISED EACH OTHER IN HEAVEN?

1,   Luke 16 :19 -31 ::- (the story of the rich man and a begged) Yes ,we will know each other .

. the rich man knows Abraham and Abraham knows him.

.the rich man also knew Lazarus ( the begged)

Pharasees were considering wealth to be the prove of righteousness.

Jesus shocked them with the story (poor  enters heaven and the rich enters hell)

Wealth cannot take o e to hell ,but how we use the wealth that God placed in our hands can take us to hell.

What is your attitude towards wealths and possession ?

 2,   John 20:16, 20 ( the story of Jesus and Mary magdalene)

.After resurrection, Mary Magdalene couldn't recognize Jesus

.But not because his body was transformed

.Her grief , pains ,love ,beclouded her mind

.And because she didnt understand what resurrection mean then

The moment Jesus spoke(Mary), immediately recognized Jesus and cried in Aramaic Raboni meaning "Teacher"

(C).  HOW LONG SHALL WE LIVE IN HEAVEN?

1,   Psalms 16:11 ::-You have made known to me the path of life,that is through salvation God made known to us the choice to choose life or death.

If I choose salvation,joy will be my portion in his presence,with Everlasting pleasure at his right hand.hallelujah Amen

It means we will lo e forever(Rev 21:1-7)

2,   Revelation 21:4b ::- There will be no death, mourning ,crying or pains.

If there's no death ,then it means we will live forever

HAVE WE EVER WONDERED HOW ETERNITY WIL BE LIKE?

I know we have thought of , the holy city ,the new Jerusalem

Its a place God will ::-

 .wipe every tears

 .No more death

 .No pain ,sorrow or crying 

No matter what we are going through as believers, eternity with him Ku s far better than living the pleasures of this life.

3,   Revelation 22 :5c::- And we will reign forever and ever

Where will wevreivn forever? In heaven

And there(1) All saint will see God face to                        face

                 (2) God will own them, having                             his seals and name on their                          fore head.

                (3).Their service shall be of                                freedom and honour

                (4)  we shall be in the perfect                              knowledge of joy

We shall walk in all these but not for a time but for eternity

                       CONCLUSION

If is important for us to know that , we will not live on earth forever, that is ,our time is short here ,this our bodies will fade away only the spirit will remain.

What we do here will determine whether ,we will be occupants of heaven or hell., our christian living is very important.

We are suppose to be encouraged regardless of what's happening to us ,soon and very soon ,Jesus will come to take us to be with him (john 14:2-3)

Our citizenship is in heaven.Eagerly  wait for a Saviour from there.that is Jesus Christ our Saviour

The citizens of Rome were expected to do everything for the interest of Rome

Our citizenship is in heaven  so , we are expected to promote heavens interest on earth.

Our lives should be worthy of the heavenly citizenship.
